EGYPT. Alexandria. Marcus Aurelius, 161-180. Tetradrachm (Billon, 22 mm, 13.25 g, 11 h), RY 3 = 162/3. Μ ΑVΡΗΛΙΟϹ ΑΝΤωΝΙΝΟϹ Laureate and draped bust of Marcus Aurelius to right, seen from behind. Rev. L / Γ Marcus Aurelius, on the left, standing front, head to right, holding spear in his right hand and parazonium in his left, being crowned with wreath by Nike standing left, holding palm frond in his left. Dattari (Savio) 3336 = K&G 37.146 = RPC IV.4 14433.4 (all this coin). Extremely rare. A lovely example with a fine pedigree. Very fine.
